There is more than one way to deliver surfactant and in the future, we will most likely choose the method that is best for that specific patient’s needs. We are going to learn about LISA, aerosol, and SALSA using videos. I am the study chair on one of the current aerosol studies and have international experience teaching SALSA. Come learn all about these techniques and be better prepared for the future of surfactant delivery.
Learning Outcome(s):
At the conclusion of this presentation, the learner will be able to:
Review and compare the current methods to deliver surfactant in a minimally invasive way: LISA, aerosol, and SALSA.
Identify which techniques might be best for the needs of your patients.
Obtain the skills needed through videos and a discussion of the techniques so minimally invasive surfactant administration can be implemented in your practice.
