This breakout session has been specifically designed for NRP Providers working in all levels of neonatal care to practice and hone their Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) skills and critical emergency responses in a safe and encouraging setting. Employing “Iron-Sharpens-Iron” methodology, participants will engage in an interactive Neonatal Code Simulation where they will have the opportunity to utilize teamwork skills, and hone their leadership skills Participants will leave feeling better prepared, more confident, and excited to share what they’ve learned in their workplaces when they return home.

At the conclusion of this presentation, the learner will be able to:
Participants will take part in a safe and realistic mid-fidelity NRP Code Simulation to practice their neonatal resuscitation skills, including: emergency preparation and set-up, team function, pre-brief, NRP initial steps, respiratory support, advanced measures, cardiac compressions, code medications, continuing care, and situation debrief.
Simulation participation will increase competency, confidence and comfort level of NRP providers as they incorporate skills and knowledge gained at this hands-on workshop where they practice.
