Dr. Anisa Thomas earned her Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, where her dissertation explored the impact of missed nursing care on turnover rates, burnout, and job satisfaction among neonatal ICU nurses. Building on this research, Anisa completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at The Ohio State University, investigating neonatal health disparities using big data analytics. During her postdoc, she was honored with the 2022 NANN Small Research Grant.
Anisa's research interests include health equity and leveraging big data to address healthcare disparities. She currently serves as a data consultant for Good Insights, a startup firm, partnering with mission-driven organizations to enhance decision-making through data analysis. Dr. Thomas has presented her research at regional and national conferences and has published in several peer-reviewed journals.
