Connie Clauson, RN, BSN, MEd, CCRN, C-ELBW, C-NPT is a neonatal nurse and educator with decades of experience teaching both adults and children. Connie has previously held positions as a Nurse Educator for a Level III NICU and an interfaculty nurse based transport team. She holds a Masters degree in special education and taught in a public school setting for several years. She holds instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and S.T.A.B.L.E. Connie is currently working as a staff nurse in the NICU at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston, an Instructor and Training Center Faculty for the Life Support Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and is on the Faculty of the SPEAK UP Program of the Institute for Perinatal Quality Improvement (PQI). Connie's work on equity based curriculum design is featured as a QI Profile of Excellence by the Institute for Perinatal Quality Improvement. Connie was named to the 2023-24 Neonatal CCRN Practice Analysis Task Force by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) and is currently serving as a Co-Chair of the multidisciplinary Neonatal Health Equity and Justice Subcommittee for the BIDMC NICU.
