Postdoctoral Trainee
UW-Madison
I am a postdoctoral trainee at UW-Madison/School of nursing. This training aims to enhance my capabilities as an independent researcher and launch my professional career as a nurse scholar. Specifically, I am interested in expanding my skills in conducting research studies related to parents bonding with preterm infants with a great emphasis on ways to foster fathers’ bonding. During my PhD, I gained skills to conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies. Moreover, my minor studies in human development and family studies add strength to my own understanding of theoretical grounds of parenting related research. As part of my current training, I engaged in enhancing my skills to conduct mixed methods research studies, I have successfully completed a mixed method workshop. In addition, I was awarded a $25,000 internal grant to compare mataernal and paternal bonding at home environment using a mixed methods design. Most importantly, since graduation in May 2023, I published two papers and one paper is currently preprint.
