Dr Tracey Bell is an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, where she serves as coordinator of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Dr Bell graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice was obtained from Duke University in North Carolina.
An area of interest for Dr Bell is an expansion of the nursing role in a global aspect. She has been a senior fellow with the Global Collaborating Center for Reproductive Health at Emory University.
In addition, Dr Bell has been involved in attempts to rectify the issue of lack of diversity in higher education. She is working in her professional path is to identify and implement strategies and interventions that will increase diversity in the recruitment and retention of minority studies and minority nursing faculty
