Clinical Practice Specialist
Children's Hospital Colorado

Sarah Velasco is a Clinical Practice Specialist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital Colorado with 17 years’ experience in caring for patients in pediatric and neonatal healthcare. As a Clinical Practice Specialist, Dr. Velasco leads quality and safety work, focuses on hospital-acquired conditions, along with process and quality improvement. She is co-chair for the hospital CLABSI Steering Committee and actively involved in organizational improvement efforts. In her spare time, she enjoys going on vacation and spending time outside.
